How this OTF to TTF conversion works.
Input
A static OpenType font (.otf) up to 20 MB. Variable fonts, WOFF files, and font collections are rejected.
Output
A TrueType font (.ttf). PostScript (CFF) outlines are rebuilt as TrueType curves. An .otf that already stores TrueType outlines is saved without rebuilding those curves.
What is left out
On a rebuilt font, kerning, ligatures, hinting, and color layers are left out. The glyph shapes and advance widths are written into the .ttf file.
Where it runs
The font is read and the .ttf file is written locally in the browser. The file is not uploaded for conversion.
