Write for Us
Pitch a guest article on contrast, palettes, fonts, or design-to-dev workflows. Unpaid guest posts. Email a title, outline, and sample.
Reach designers and developers who use free color, font, and export tools. Pitch a practical article to Sherotree.
What we want
WCAG and contrast
How teams check ratios, fix failing pairs, and use Colour Contrast Checker in product UI reviews.
Color systems and palettes
Tokens, ramps, dark themes, and generators such as Material 3 Color Palette or Color Palette From Name.
Fonts and web fonts
Licensing, pairing, and converting files for the web with tools such as TTF to WOFF2 Converter.
Design-to-dev handoff
Specs, tokens, and the last mile from Figma or a mockup into production CSS.
Free design tooling workflows
Browser-first paths for export, compression, mockups, and similar jobs people already do on Tools.
Accessibility for product UI
Focus, color independence, and other checks that sit next to contrast, not only on top of it.
What we do not want
Pure SEO spam: Keyword stuffing, spun directories, or articles written only to place a link.
Unverified AI dumps: Generic copy with no workflow, no screenshots, and no check a practitioner can run.
Undisclosed paid plugs: Product promotion without saying who paid or that the author is affiliated.
Off-topic lifestyle: Travel, wellness, finance, or other posts that do not serve design or frontend work.
How to pitch
Proposed title
A specific working title, not a topic bucket.
Outline
Two or three sentences on the problem, the steps, and what the reader can reuse.
Writing sample
A prior URL or a short excerpt. Unpublished drafts are fine if they show your voice.
Bio and byline
One or two lines plus the name you want on the article.
Send the email
Address Sherotree at support@sherotree.com. Subject line: Guest pitch: <title>.
Editorial notes
- 01
Original work preferred
Unpublished articles come first. Say so if the piece ran elsewhere.
- 02
Light edits
We may edit for clarity, house style, and factual checks. We will not rewrite your point of view.
- 03
Reasonable backlinks
A byline link to your site or social profile is fine. Do not pad the body with extra URLs.
- 04
No guarantee
A pitch or a full draft can still be declined. Fit and quality decide, not volume.
