Change image aspect ratio online for free. Convert photos to 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, and more. Cover, contain, or stretch modes. No upload required.
10 Aspect Ratio Presets
Quick-select from 10 common ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 3:2, 2:3, 5:4, 4:5, 3:1, and 5:2. One click to apply any preset.
Custom Ratio Input
Need a specific ratio not in the presets? Enter any custom width:height ratio and the tool will convert your image accordingly.
Three Fit Modes
Cover crops to fill, contain fits with letterboxing, stretch distorts to match. Choose the mode that fits your needs.
Background Color Picker
In contain mode, pick any background color for the letterbox bars. Match your brand colors or keep it clean with white or black.
Live Preview
See the aspect ratio change instantly as you select presets and adjust settings. No apply button needed.
Multi-Format Download
Download your converted image as PNG, JPG, or WebP. Control the output format for your specific use case.
1. Upload Your Image
Drag and drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP image into the upload area, or click to browse from your device.
2. Choose Your Ratio & Mode
Select a preset aspect ratio (1:1, 16:9, etc.) or enter a custom ratio. Choose cover, contain, or stretch mode. For contain mode, pick a background color.
3. Download Your Image
Click Download to save your image in the new aspect ratio as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
Use Cover Mode for Cropping
Cover mode fills the entire output area, cropping the edges. Best for when you want a clean fill without letterbox bars.
Use Contain Mode to Keep Everything
Contain mode shows your entire image with colored bars on the sides or top/bottom. Best when you don't want to crop anything.
Avoid Stretch for Photos
Stretch mode distorts images, which looks unnatural on photos. Use it only for abstract graphics or when distortion is intentional.
Match the Background Color
In contain mode, choose a background color that complements your image. White works for most photos, black for dark images.
Start with High Resolution
Higher resolution source images produce better results, especially when cropping with cover mode. Low-res images may appear pixelated.
Check Key Content Before Downloading
In cover mode, the tool center-crops. Make sure the important parts of your image are centered before converting.
ImgShifter.com

Imagy.app
Full-featured aspect ratio changer with custom ratio input, draggable crop box, and multi-format export. Includes a companion Aspect Ratio Calculator tool. However, the crop-only approach means no contain/stretch modes for users who need non-destructive fitting.
ResizeOn.com
Batch-capable ratio changer with presets and custom dimensions plus quality slider for output. Supports JPG/PNG/WEBP/GIF/BMP. Batch mode is useful for bulk work but adds UI complexity for single-image quick edits.
