What happened to Mazwai?

The free video library is no longer on mazwai.com. On 12 October 2026 the domain returned a 301 to Freepik’s video section. There is no Mazwai catalog to search on that site.

Can I still download free Mazwai clips?

Not from mazwai.com. The domain does not serve clips or a license. If you already have a file from an older download, this page cannot confirm the grant that applied then. For a new clip, use a library that still hosts footage and read that file’s license.

When should I skip Mazwai?

Skip it whenever you need a clip today. Mixkit and Videezy are stock-video libraries on Uwarp that were still online on the review date. Vidsplay is another footage page on this site. Magnific is the separate overview of the Freepik creative platform.

Is this page the official Mazwai site?

No. This is an independent overview. mazwai.com itself redirects away. This page is not affiliated with Mazwai or Freepik and does not use a referral link.

What Mazwai provides now

What the domain does on the review date, not what older roundups describe.

A redirect, not a catalog
mazwai.com answers with a 301 to Freepik’s video URL. There is no Mazwai search, preview, or download on that domain.
No license page to cite
This check did not find a Mazwai license, account, or clip file. Do not treat a blog post about Creative Commons downloads as the current grant.
The next page is someone else’s
The destination is a Freepik video page. Plans, free downloads, and account rules belong to that site, not to a Mazwai product.

How to handle a Mazwai link

What to do when a deck, bookmark, or article still names the old library.

Expect the redirect
Opening mazwai.com leaves the domain. You will not land on a Mazwai clip page.
Do not reuse an old license note
If a project credit says the clip came from Mazwai under a Creative Commons grant, keep the file you already downloaded and do not assume you can fetch a replacement the same way.
Pick a library that still hosts files
Mixkit and Videezy were serving pages on the review date. Read the license on the specific clip before you edit it into a client video.

Who this note is for

People who searched the old name and need to know the library is gone.

Editors with an old bookmark
Need to see why the Mazwai homepage is no longer a clip library.
Producers checking a credit
Have a shot that was sourced years ago and need to know the site will not reissue it.
Designers replacing a background loop
Need a current free-footage library instead of a domain that only redirects.

When Mazwai is the right pick

Open mazwai.com only to confirm an old link. For a clip you can download, use a library that still hosts files, and read that library’s license before a commercial cut.

Redirect notes

What was checked on 12 October 2026.
