What is a wireframe icon?
Wireframe icon controls
Search: Filter by name, such as user, calendar, or checkbox.
Large preview: See the selected symbol before you copy it.
Stroke color: Set the stroke, then copy or download that color in the SVG.
Copy or download: Copy the SVG markup, or save a single .svg file.
How to grab a wireframe icon
Search or scan
Type a name, or click a symbol in the grid.
Set the stroke
Pick a color that matches the rest of the wireframe.
Copy the SVG
Paste the markup into a design file or a page.
Or download it
Save one SVG named after the symbol.
Tips for sketch icons
- 01
Use one stroke color
Mix of black and brand color makes a wireframe look half-finished in the wrong way.
- 02
Leave them as strokes
Filling these outlines turns them into a different style. Keep the stroke for the draft.
- 03
Swap them later
When the screen is no longer a wireframe, replace them with a production set such as Free SVG Icons.
When to use sketch icons
Low-fi screens
Mark a photo, a profile, or a button without drawing a new symbol.
Slide sketches
Drop a rough icon into a deck that is still about structure.
Hand-drawn boards
Use the same stroke weight next to Wireframe Fonts or an Excalidraw frame.
